Summary: In recent hours, Iran has launched several waves of attacks towards Bahrain. “Warning sirens have been sounded… citizens and residents are kindly requested to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place,” the Bahraini Ministry of Interior said.
(CNN) — In recent hours, Iran launched several waves of attacks towards Bahrain, after a new wave of US strikes that targeted several sites within its territory.
The Bahraini Ministry of Interior, in a post on the "X" platform, said on Twitter previously, shortly after 9:52 pm EST (4:52 am local time): "The sirens have been sounded… Citizens and residents are kindly requested to remain calm and proceed to the nearest safe place. ”
For its part, the IRGC claimed that it "targeted and destroyed several weapons support depots, a satellite communications center, and a building housing US forces at the Juffair base in Bahrain," in an attack carried out using missiles and drones.
On the other hand, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday the end of the wave of strikes it launched on Iran on Monday.
"During the five-hour mission, US forces succeeded in striking military targets across Iran, including Bushehr, Jask, Kanark, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas, with the aim of further undermining Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping," Centcom said.
The strikes came after US President Donald Trump announced that the United States intends to launch additional military strikes on Iran, referring to further moves, after the resumption of negotiations between the two countries last week.
