During the 121st Ministerial Council meetings in Brussels, the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) officially exempted Sudan from its entire debt of one million dollars. The decision, finalized during the sessions from July 15 to 16, 2026, aims to alleviate Sudan’s economic burdens resulting from the ongoing conflict, which has severely impacted public revenues and infrastructure. Sudanese Finance Minister Gibril Ibrahim welcomed the decision, expressing gratitude for the solidarity shown by member states amid the country’s exceptional circumstances.
